The Thal Mondo portable toilet was designed by Wilfred Thal from Ratingen in Germany. A revolutionary design in it's day; it was the first portable toilet to be designed to look aesthetically pleasing rather than to be a purely functional blue square box. The shapes embossed in the sides and door of the unit are supposed to represent the sun, clouds and a rural valley. A little taller than most portable toilet units its disadvantage is that it won't fit inside shipping containers on building sites.
